Developed a comprehensive brand identity system for a growing tech consultancy that had outgrown its scrappy startup image.
TechNova Solutions had grown fast. In three years, they had gone from a two-person consultancy to a 45-person firm serving enterprise clients across North America and Europe. But their brand had not kept pace. Their logo was a decade-old design by a founder's friend, their colour palette was inconsistent across decks, their website used three different typefaces, and their sales team reported that prospects often questioned whether they were dealing with an established firm or a side project. TechNova needed a brand identity that reflected the maturity, professionalism, and technical depth they actually delivered. KumoDevs was engaged to create a complete brand identity system — from logo to full visual language — that would position TechNova as the credible enterprise partner they had already become.
Lack of consistent branding across digital and print materials was confusing prospects and diluting TechNova's market presence.
Created a cohesive visual identity including logo, color palette, typography, and marketing collateral templates, paired with a brand usage guide for long-term consistency.
We began with a brand discovery workshop that brought together TechNova's founders, sales leadership, and two key clients. Through structured exercises around brand archetypes, competitive positioning, and visual preference mapping, we identified three core brand attributes: precision, partnership, and progress. Every design decision — from the geometric logo construction to the colour palette rooted in deep navy and accent amber — was traced back to these attributes. We then built a component-based design system in Figma, ensuring that every future asset, from pitch decks to social graphics, could be created from reusable, on-brand components without requiring a designer's involvement. Finally, we produced a comprehensive brand guidelines document and conducted training sessions with TechNova's marketing team to ensure the system would be used correctly long after our engagement ended.
Facilitated a full-day workshop with TechNova stakeholders and two client representatives to define brand attributes, competitive positioning, and visual direction.
Created three distinct visual directions with mood boards, each rooted in a different brand archetype, and refined the chosen direction through stakeholder feedback.
Explored 30+ logo concepts across five families, refined three finalists, and delivered a modular logo system tested across digital, print, and environmental applications.
Constructed a comprehensive Figma component library with colour styles, text styles, grid systems, and reusable components for rapid asset creation.
Wrote and designed a 60-page brand guidelines document covering every aspect of the identity system, including dos and don'ts with real-world examples.
Conducted team training sessions, created quick-reference cards, and supported the marketing team through the first month of brand adoption across all touchpoints.
“Before KumoDevs, our brand was an afterthought — and it showed. Prospects would compliment our work but hesitate because our materials didn't reflect our capabilities. The new identity has been transformative. Our close rate improved noticeably in the first quarter after launch, and our team finally feels proud of the materials we put in front of clients.”
Utilized Adobe Illustrator for vector-based logo design with modular lockups, Figma for collaborative prototyping and component-based design system creation, and produced a comprehensive 60-page Brand Guidelines PDF covering logo usage, colour psychology, typography hierarchy, and application examples.
Develop animated brand assets for digital marketing including video intros and social media templates, and create a brand ambassador program to further enhance visibility across industry events.
